Dear UIC Students: I invite you all to play a role in one of the University’s most active student organizations: The Engineering Council. The Engineering Council, EC, is looking for more members to help manage some of the most essential and widespread events for our school. These events include the nationally recognized Engineers Week, Engineering EXPO, Career Fair, Dinner with the Deans and many more are still being planned. The concept of what it means to be an engineer has been rapidly changing. Many engineering professions require individuals to be proficient in managerial roles and expect them to engage in more business aspects of engineering. The Engineering Council will allow you to acquire experience in group work, leadership, decision making, innovation, and project coordination. Be a part of the society that can help you establish a link between Engineering and Business, make crucial decisions that affect the entire campus and become active with other students, organizations, academic departments and external corporations.
